Understanding What Our Community Needs and Helping It Succeed
As a husband and father, I’m very pleased to have moved to North Carolina in 2012. My family and I have put down roots quickly and have found so much to appreciate here in terms of people, climate, and culture that we feel very fortunate.
My career and background has been as a statistician where I have managed teams, developed software, put in place standards, consulted, and spent time solving analytical problems in new drug development. I have a BS from Purdue and a Master’s degree in Statistics from the University of Wisconsin.
Reaching a deep understanding of a challenge and seeing the solution will always be one of the greatest thrills of my life.
I grew up in rural New York State and Indiana where I learned to love camping and canoeing. I have also lived in Europe for several years which gives me first hand knowledge of other political systems and viewpoints.

Licensing requirements should be reduced so that people aren’t prevented from working. And we need to work on fixing healthcare by returning real choice to the patient and real competition to the market.
