In the past when costs have risen much faster than inflation, people have realized that the regulations which were supposed to protect consumers were instead shutting down competition. Deregulating healthcare will bring costs down and restore balance to healthcare.
North Carolina’s education system is also under pressure and needs new solutions. Competition and freedom to choose among different educational options will lead to innovation and better schools. Licensing laws often try to protect consumers but instead end up protecting established firms from new competitors. As a new party with new views, Libertarians pledge to bring updates to our business model.
